#TBT: It’s How You Live

Stuart Scott passed from this world unto the next. He suffered with cancer, but he fought it to the end. Scott faced a demon many faced and succumb to, but he took another route. Scott kept on living as if he did not have cancer.

While he was going to chemotherapy, Scott kept on working, playing, working out and loving. During the ESPYs this past July, Scott, who was honored with the Jimmy V Award for Perseverance, stated: “When you die, it does not mean you lose to cancer. You beat cancer by how you live, why you live, and the manner in which you live. So live. Live. Fight like hell.”

It matters how one faces the giants in life . . . how one fights those battles whether on the field or in life in general. One can never give up. Get knocked down but get back up. The battle is not over; you will have a legacy to leave. Hence, Stuart Scott was, and still is, a living example of what one should do when facing a giant . . . keep on fighting and living.
