My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations;~James 1:2 KJV

Dictionary.com says suck, in slang used as a verb without an object, is to be unpleasant, repellant, or inferior. Life, work and sports can be all those things . . . those things that are unpleasant, lack integrity, unethical, immoral, or nerve-whacking. They have those things that suck from taking out the garbage to being in a car accident to having to do 20 suicides for missing a play in a game.

Yeah, those are things that must of us dread doing. Yet, those are the very things that push us out of our comfort zone into excellency. Whether that excellency is scoring the game winner or completing that assignment for work or school, doing the dreaded thing is making your excellency shine. The Lord expects us to do the small things before we can achieve the big things. It’s making sure to maintain your energy and attitude when a play goes wrong or digging deep to find the endurance to finish the race.
The Lord’s expectation of us is that we will be good stewards with whatever time, talent and skills He gives us. If you are not, then you should not expect to shine. But if you are a good steward, then the Lord will surely bless you. So like Kyle Stark said, “embrace the suck.”
