There is no link between player salaries and ticket prices. Ticket prices are set by supply and demand. You are falling for the leagues false narrative. Bettman said the NHL needed a hard cap for the fans to lower ticket prices, he got his cap and ticket prices exploded.

If you think that’s reasonable, may I suggest you stop smoking whatever it is your smoking? You have to buy 2 tickets so that’s $814.18 before fees/taxes. I’m sorry but this one time I become conservative. What else could you buy for that same $814.18? It isn’t a STC game?!? π€£

I had a funny exchange with another Tweep today as seen above, but it got me thinking. Do NHL ticket prices, or any league’s ticket prices, inadvertently deter new fans?
Least you think the Islanders vs. Rangers tickets are an anomaly, take a look at tickets for the Colorado Avalanche vs. Vegas Golden Knights and Boston Bruins vs. Washington Capitals.
the nhl is so focused on the wrong shit, all the games start at the same time and the average fan cant even legally stream them…
and ticket prices to go see a team with the worst record, cost an arm, a leg and a lung??? so unserious π
