Adopted

On this Pentecost, we should remember that we, the Church, are all members of God’s family. We were adopted by faith, and we have a duty to live by the guidance of the Holy Spirit Jesus left with us.

Therefore the law was our tutor to bring us to Christ, that we might be justified by faith. But after faith has come, we are no longer under a tutor. When the Day of Pentecost had fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. And suddenly there came a sound from heaven, as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting. Then there appeared to them divided tongues, as of fire, and one sat upon each of them.
